Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria is a quiet & picturesque little town with a very rich history. It was the capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire. It’s also the home for one of the grandest medieval monuments in Europe: Tsarevets Fortress. Located on Tsarevets Hill, the fortress is one of Buglaria’s cherished attraction due to the amazing past.

At 14 km away from Veliko Tarnovo, in Hotnica you can find a hidden gem that every landscape lover must visit in Bulgaria: Hotnishki Waterfall. The place can be reached easily by car. Is not crowded so you can enjoy yourself the beauty and tranquility of this 30 m drop waterfall. Also, a small trail that starts here, above the waterfall along Bohot River.
